Juniper VPN on 64-bit Ubuntu

firebus's picture

First, I installed 32-bit firefox and ran it just to run the VPN.

Then I discovered this: http://askubuntu.com/questions/136194/juniper-setup-on-12-04 and it worked on Firefox for awhile, but then stopped working for no reason I could figure out.

So I switched to using Chrome per these instructions: http://arecordon.blogspot.com.ar/2013/07/ubuntu-junipers-network-on-ubun... and it seems to be working again

MK reports the following worked for him:
* sudo apt-get install  libc6-i386
* download java jre-7u45-linux-i586.tar.gz from http://www.java.com/en/download/linux_manual.jsp
http://javadl.sun.com/webapps/download/AutoDL?BundleId=81810
* mkdir /usr/java32
* tar zxvf jre-7u45-linux-i586.tar.gz  -C /usr/java32
* sudo update-alternatives --install /usr/bin/java java /usr/java32/jre1.7.0_45/bin/java 10
* sudo apt-get install ia32-libs
