Bacon Salt

So I have two words for you - Bacon Salt. This brilliant idea came to Dave and I following some heavy drinking and a visit to KFC where our Aussi friend announced that the reason Aussies love KFC (other than as a preferred method for killing one's self slowly) is that the fries come with "chicken salt". Now I have no idea what that is, but it inspired us to start a company dedicated to bringing the world bacon salt. Now some of you might be saying wait a minute - there already is a bacon salt company www.baconsalt.com. This is true - and frankly when I first saw that the web address was already registered I thought I had lost my chance at become a tensionnaire. However, I have discovered one small problem with this "bacon salt". According to their own slogan "Bacon Salt is a zero calorie, low-fat, vegetarian and kosher seasoning"

What? Now surely you must be saying to yourself how could anyone in their right mind create a product called Bacon Salt that is vegetarian/kosher, i.e. contains no bacon. If you are anything like me, something like that makes you a little angry --- ok then, now prepare to get really angry

"Bacon Salt" is also "low in sodium"

So let me get this straight, "Bacon Salt" contains no bacon and apparently little or no salt. Neither of the ingredients you promised are in the bottle -- did you make a mistake or is this some sort con like when you are 16 and desperate and the super sketchy guy at the park sells you a bag of oregano?

I could not be more angry at these guys - I want them eaten by sharks immediately.

To that end Dave and I have registered www.therealbaconsalt.com, have sent they fakers an email telling them that we creating a competing company selling actual Bacon Salt - that's right,
ground up bacon and some salt - that's it, just the way Grandma Netta used to make it. Coming soon to a store near you - ask for it by name and for god sakes make sure it actually contains the items listed on the label.

Bacon synchronicity

Here at the first annual National Corndog Day retreat, we were looking at the corndog day facebook group and Bacon Salt was the ad banner placement.

Why have a corndog when you can have a bacon flavored corndog?

I dunno. I think I need to vote with Bacon Salt here. Their motto is kick-ass: "Bacon salt is a zero calorie, zero fat, vegetarian and kosher seasoning that makes everything tastes like bacon.".

Added bonus: "Operation Bacon Salt, an initiative to provide bacon salt to the men and women serving overseas in foreign conflicts."

better tasting?

i think you would make more money selling kevin bacon salt.

in UK?

Anyone wanting to give it a try in UK/Europe (or who just hates the dhipping cost from USA!) can buy locally www.crazy4flavour.co.uk with prices that include shipping costs.

Go on - You know you want to!
