Yahtzee Golf

I'm not sure how I never thought of this before, but I've been having a really bad run of Yahtzee and was wondering what my lowest ever score has been. Probably something a little south of 150. 135 maybe?

The lowest possible Yahtzee score is 5 - you put five 1s in chance and conspire to score 0 in every other box.

But what's the lowest possible score you can get if you are playing in good faith?

If you rolled 1-1-2-2-3 for every roll, then you'd get

1:2
2:4
3:3
4:0
5:0
6:0
Bonus:0
3K:0
4K:0
Full House:0
Small Straight:0
Large Straight:0
Yahtzee:0
Chance:9

Gerbs for Bad

I bought some pumpkin seeds in the airport from this fine company and they were quite nice - I like pumpkin seeds a lot, and these were cheaper and less covered in caramel than the other nuts available.

Reading the package I found a dubious health claim: "loaded with Omega 3's, 6's, 9's". Well, that's technically true, but with 47mg of Omega 3 and 5,326mg of Omega 6, the 3/6 ratio is about as awful as it could be.

A Simple Methodology For Choosing Sides

I saw the world cup match between Mexico and France, and once Mexico scored their first goal I realized that I really wanted France to lose - because there would be a lot of whining.

So if you need to figure out who to root for in a sporting contest, you should always root for the team that, if they win, there will be more whining.

Masala

A Masala is a spice blend.

The two masala curries that you typically find on North Indian menus in the US are Chana Masala and Chicken Tikka Masala (the latter is a classic fake ethnic dish, supposedly invented in Glasgow).

Both curries have a pretty similar flavor profile: onion, garlic, chili and ginger; tomato; garam masala, cumin, and turmeric; amchoor powder or lemon juice.

For the tikka masala, the curry is then pureed and mixed with cream before simmering with browned chicken chunks.
